If you have tons of money you can do most anything. Rebuilding your engine, which may require a new block as well as the piston can be done but it will cost thousands. I would keep searching for a used engine from a 97 GTP. Widen your search to all of the US. You may have to have it shipped from far away but a used engine with freight will still cost way less than rebuilding yours. Whatever you do its going to cost a lot and take weeks if not months to get your car back. If that scenario works for you then go for it, if not its time to bid your beloved car goodbye and move on to something newer. Well cared for Supercharged GTPs are everywhere and are not expensive. Good luck.
