09 Pontiac G6 sudden lurching

My car suddenly lurched severely and felt like I had driven over something. I
pulled over and have had it towed and will have it looked at. Any ideas?

By "lurch" do you mean surged forward? Or do you mean it pulled hard to left or right? If it pulled hard to left or right check the tie rod ends.
