Knocking noise

Asked by Dekle78 Nov 24, 2018 at 08:22 PM about the Subaru Outback

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1997 Subaru Outback has
developed a knocking noise in the
drivers side front wheel assembly. I
hit a bad patch of road at the bottom
of a hill, and the suspension got
rocked a bit, then suddenly the sound
started. It stops when I accelerate
(especially up hill) or brake
