wipers stop in upright position

My wipers work, however, when I turn them off they stop in the upright position.
Does anyone know what may be causing this?

Do the arms stop where they were the moment you turn them off..or you turn them off and they 'park' upright? Wipers have a 'parking timer' to stow them when shut off. I'm trying to find a picture of one

Looking around the consensus is the multi-function switch for the wipers on the stalk...in either case. OR..the module click for full screen
