The front differential on my 2000 F250 7.3 4wd diesel is all torn up. Can anyone tell me what might have caused this to happen with no warning? Worked fine plowing snow Friday, Saturday AM not. thank

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Lately it did not want to shift out of 4wd very well. Had to drive about half a mile and slow down before it would go back to 2 high. Heard a slight rumbling sound as it slowed down, did not seem like it did that last winter.

sounds like the acuaitor went bad,it is what puts it in 4x4,not a expensive fix.
