Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Does anyone know a trick to get both cams and the tdc in time on a 4.0 OHC? I have the special tool but was wondering if there was anything to watch out for.

Thats kind of a more advanced thing to do. If you have never had experience doing this i wouldn't recommend it.

all you have to do is on the crank gear is a dot like this . on the gear have it pointed straight up,on the cams same thing, almost, set the left cam dot at 4 oclock position right cam at 8 oclock position put chain on ,just make sure the cams dont turn on you while installing chain.,this is in the 0 BTDC position after putting it all back together start and use a timeing light to set timeing to factory spects.but as other poster said,if you have never done this, have a mechanic do it.
