How can I unlatch the hood of my Explorer ? I have pulled the "opener" from inside the vehicle, but it won't release. I need to check my engine fluids and wiper fluid.

Your cable may be off adjustment get a second person to tap and pull up on the hood, while you pull the cable. Then you need to have it adjusted. Good luck... Mike

Get up on the vehicle, assuming you are 200lbs or under and gently jump on the hood near where the latch is while someone is inside gently pulling the release lever. Mine open like a charm after being stuck for days. Of course spray a little of the PB Blaster or WD-40 first. I am happy now that it opened
