Battery smokes

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After my son hooked up the battery wrong and boosted the car he blew a 100
amp fuse. I replaced the fuse and battery now this one smokes (battery).
What else should I look for to stop this problem?

Maybe he ruined the battery. I would have the battery tested before trying to use it.
