My 2004 Ford Escape radio says CD error. How can I fix this?

My CD player no longer works.  It says "CD Error"

Is it the factory cd player or aftermarket. You could try pulling the radio fuse to see if that may reset the cd player If not then theres an internal issue and the cd player would need to be replaced.
