why do you have to crank over the engine 8-15 times before it starts? could it be the engine computer?

i ve allready replaced the fuel regulator and it still does the same thing spent 50 bucks for nothing. cna someone out there tell me what it is for sure, iam on social security and cant keep spending money and it dont fix it any how.

Check engine light on? Best guess.....dirty fuel filter, or fuel pump leaking pressure off, causing it to need to prime every start. Check the fuel pressure when starting it to verify it is fuel.
Have you checked the fuel pump its self? Usually when you turn the key to the ACC position it sends power to the pump before the engine cranks. If its going bad it may not be pressurizing the fuel system, hence the motor is starved for fuel until pressure come up in the system. Normally you can hear the fuel pump run for a few seconds before cranking. I cant say for sure thats your problem, but I would start by checking that first.
