the muffler needs to be replaced on my 89 gts i have been told by midas and others that it is one piece and the hole exhaust needs to be replaced. The rest of the exhaust system seems to be fine.

find a new muffler shop. unless the pipes are ready to crumble,if the shop is worth a damn they can fix anything. I,ve pacthed in a 90 that was half rusted out. They have'nt hired someone who can weld
