Car won't stay running

Driving my 92 regal 3.8 my girl said she heard a noise(.That is all I got ) and car stalled. I
checked it out and sprayed starting fluid into the big hose from air cleaner and it started.
Didn't run long .Every time sprayed again fired up and fizzle out. I think fuel pump.I
replace it still the same.Changed filter sprayed fire up fizzle out. what next??

this is an add on to question. I pulled fuel pump and replaced again no start. I tested old pump and it works. I assuming it is electrical (12 volt not spark) but where do I start to find problem??
