After reveing up the engine in idle, there is leftover sound like free wheeling coming from the engine- Nisssan Maxime 2005

The throw out bearing will only make noise if the clutch pedal in depressed. I can't think of anything on the engine that would spin when revved and then free wheel. -- Open the hood and have a listen. The obvious external suspects are driven by the belt.
