Well its not that I can afford it.I realy like the way they look, but the last thing I want to do is go broke trying to keep gas in the tank! I have just heard so many differnt things about gas mileage on them.I wanted to know for sure before I even looked at them.

What do you expect with that much weight and no aerodynamics. I own a 08 and was told because it has the 6 speed tranny it could get up to 14 miles to a gallon but I put 37 x 12.50 tires on it and the best I get is 10. But it is one of the safest vehicles on the road and that makes it worth it.

If you add a cool air intake to your hummer, no matter the year, you will get better gas mileage. We live in Spring Valley, CA and drove from here to Yuma, AZ and back and we still had a half-tank left of gas. That was about 330 miles round trip.

My Scion XB is far safer than that Hummer, because I am never going to get in an accident in it. By the way, I can haul my entire family including the dog and luggage and still get 35 mpg. And with 186,000 miles, it has been the far and away most reliable car I have ever owned. Put wider tires on her and stiffer shocks and a low restriction exhaust and now she runs better than new and handles like a sports car. I am not exagerating. Screw that Hummer that looks like it was designed by an eight year old with cereal boxes and duct tape.
