Subaru WRX

Asked by BAB12 Apr 27, 2019 at 02:43 PM about the Subaru Impreza WRX

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I am thinking of buying a WRX or STI and I
was wondering what years you guys think are
the best to buy. I saw on other forums
suggest getting the 05 or the 09. Just curious
what mechanics think

It's really a matter of what looks the best to you because the motors are all practically the same just minor differences all averaging the same HP and torque. Once you figure out how you want it to drive you can tune and tweak where need be, get and invidia exhaust and make sure if you do anything like bigger turbo injectors that you build the internals a bit to make sure she's gunna last

My friend told me that the transmission in some of the years are crappy. Do you know which ones to look out for?
