Wow... good luck! The ones that I have seen are pretty beat up. My parents used to own a late-80's early-90's Beetle in Mexico... but we got rid of it years ago. We called it the Hero of a Thousand Battles... it was pretty beat up but kept on running. In Puebla there used to be a huge VW factory (80's-90's), so the market was flooded with Beetle's from that time period (though realistically how much have the Beetles changed over the years (late 90's redesign excluded)? Now the staple car are Nissans and Toyotas. To really be able to get that information, you will probably have to do some legwork and make some phone calls. I doubt many of the used-car dealerships have a web presence or advertise outside of the country. You may want to start by contacting VW sales offices in Mexico. You may want to shoot them an email at: http://www.volkswagen.com/vwcms_publish/vwcms/master_public/virtualmaster/es_mx/clientes/0.metanav.html You may be able to get an answer to your question in English (but if you can swing it in Spanish, you will probably get a prompter response). Good luck!
