Yea I knew what the codes meant, I have replaced the shift solenoid pack (po765). The po700 as I understand is just a general diagnostic code that there is an issue with the signal between PCM and transmission control module. I am suspecting wiring, and what I need to know is that on pin 4 at the connector at the shift solenoid the wiring diagram denotes 12v. Is this a constant 12v or only there when the PCM sends control signal to the shift solenoid to pick up the correct solenoid per Engine RPMs. I am only seeing the 12v momentarily when turning the key to ON.

I believe it should be constant

Me too. Today when I start messing with the car the 12v was constant. I dove the car and it shifted fine at first then went back to the limp in mode. I have traced the 12v wire back to the source at the totally interested power module and leaving that module it does the same thing. When you turn the key to ON I have 12v for about 3-4 seconds then it goes to zero. I know there is some electronics in that module, could my problem be in the TIPM?

I'm glad you are honing down problem, I like having all the fancy gadgets in today's cars but when they break down what headache that can be.

Hello JackBer, did you figure out what the problem was. I am having the same problem with my 07 Sebring. I also get 12 volts to pin #4 for 3 seconds after key on. Please let us know, it would be a great help for everyone with similar problem.

The problem was actually internal to the PCM. Replaced it and everything is fine. Had to get part from dealer, on national backorder, waited three weeks. With programming and labor......nearly $1000! Ouch.

You are absolutely right. it was the PCM. I purchased a remanufactured one for $250 with lifetime warranty. they even programmed to my car's vin. it was really a matter of swapping the old one. a fraction of what the dealer wanted to charge me and they were backordered for weeks. it seems that many people are having PCM failures. and the car runs great. no codes or issues. just look for "Auto Computer Exchange" I hope that this helps everyone.
