First go buy yourself a Chilton PT Cruiser repair manual ( year specific ) Check the fluid leaking. Smell , taste, etc. it may only be water from your AC. According to the manual, the AC must be disconnected to remove heater core. Not an easy fix if you have little to no experience. Core is under dash, and in the middle.
