Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2002 300m and about 2wks ago it was giving me trouble starting. It would click several times before starting. Now it wont start at all. The battery has been checked and its 100%. Is it the starter or alternator or electrical?

okay the battery is GOOD....check, the black battery cable what connect to the frame/chassis is NOT good, corroded-rusted and not allowing 300 Cold Cranking Amps to get through....disassemble wirebrush the big 1/0 battery cable end and the connection to the chassis/frame...really get it good down to metal so that the 300 CCA (at least) can get through~

There is a park switch on the gear selector that needs to be made for the car to engage the starter. With the key held in the start position bump the gear select into park with your free hand.
