Why no start or crank after ECM change?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After replacing a bad ECM now the car will not crank nor start. Thought it was
low battery tried to charge and gage on charging goes crazy. Please advise

Did you have the new ECM and body control module programmed to your VIN? If not, it won't start
