Lightning bolt comes on sometimes

Asked by GuruP64KL Jan 26, 2020 at 09:07 PM about the Chrysler 300

Question type: General

When I bought the Chrysler 300 2002 model I noticed
a slight hesitant when I turned the key to start the
starter wouldn't engage until a half a second maybe,
and after driving for 30-60 miles the lightning bolt
would come on and stay on til I turn off the car, also
while light is on temp gauge doesn't work, this
morning it would start, just clicked, after the 4th try it
finally started, it's done that 3 times today, do I need a
starter and is that why the lightning bolt light comes
on?

Clean battery cables and make sure they're tight. If all cables are ok, take it to ur local auto parts store and they will check battery and charging system for you free of charge.
