I have replace the ac module on my 1993 525 i and now the compressor comes on and then kicks off and then it will kick on again. Could it be another defective module?

Well are you having a problem with the a/c not working. It could be because the system is low on refrigerant, pressure switch failure. Need more information on what is happening and what the problem is. A normal operating a/c compressor will turn it self off and on to keep the evaporater from freezing. Hope this helps
