Question type: Maintenance & Repair

230 I6 engine died while driving home. Discovered no spark and changed
coil, then points and condenser. Gapped points @ .019 as per specs. Ran like
a champ, then died again after 1.5 miles. Cranks, blubbers for half a second
like it wants to start, then nothing. When it died was going 55 and felt like it
ran out of gas or had the key turned off suddenly but gauges still had power.
Have replaced intake\exhaust manifold gaskets, cleaned out all ports
(exhaust ports were so bad l don't know how it ran so good), checked valves
which do move when cranked, replaced pcv  and grommet since the old one
was loose and didn't seal, pcv line, cleaned breathable oil fill cap, and
replaced valve cover gasket (since I had the cover off, figured might as well).
Still cranks fine and tries to catch but no full start. When it coughs after a
failed start a few drops of fuel come out the top of the carb so fuel is getting
there.
