Is there a way to test the cooling fan works on freeland 2010.

Is there a way to make the cooling fan run ,it does not over heat just never heard it running. Also the outside temp sensor where is it located as yesterday it went up to 35

Turn on the vehicle then the ac let it run for a few raise the hood the fan should jump on an off but if your not running hot it's working
