Windows will not work. Can it be the power window circuit breaker?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Windows were working fine then all of a sudden they both would not go up. After messing with wires and stuff realized the fuse was blown. Every fuse I put in blew as well even large fuses kept blowing so I bridged the fuse with some metal. After that I was able to get the passenger side up but only if I hold down the button next to the shifter which I guess is a type of circuit breaker for the windows, at least I found one by OES Genuine called a Circuit Breaker that looks just like it but it is $80 and am not sure if that is the full problem. The driver side will still not work. I tried switching the up down buttons and still the same thing. Hold down button and passenger works but driver will not. So then I unplugged the motor on the driver side and still passenger side will only work if I hold the button down. So I know it is not the up down button. Also do not think it is the motor since with it unplugged the button still has to be held down for the passenger side to work. But can one side go out like that with that button?

You need to remove the bridge of metal. The fuse is blowing because you have a short. You are going to burn your cars wiring harness and possibly destroy your car. You need to take the vehicle to someone who has a better knowledge of electricity before you ruin your car.
