Bait & Switch happens a lot with car sales, and it isn't always that. As long as the dealer has an excuse for the price change, like someone made a mistake, it's not fraud. But it happens often where the dealer quotes one price on line, in an Ad, or over the phone, and then changes the price when you get to the lot. It's been common practice for decades or longer. I imagine this happened even when Romans sold used chariots..... You can just move on, or grow up and deal with it. I've always found it fun to respond in clever ways to get the price down. Even get a great deal, then when the salesman goes to talk to his manager, just walk out. Once, when dealing with a dealer for my daughter's first car, I made a salesman cry.
