When I turn on the headlights the fuse blows and I no longer have headlight or tail lights but the brake lights and turn signal still work. I even took out the bulbs and it still blows the fuse

On my 1997 Sonoma when I turn on the headlights it blows the fuse and I even lose my
tail lights but my brake light and turn signal still work. I took out all the bulbs and it still
blows the fuse

I went threw that battle last year, chasing wires changing fuses, thinking it was a bad relay pulling my hair out. You know what it was, the freaking head light switch on your dash! You can pull one out of a wreckers and try it or just buy a new one. It is for sure your headlight switch.
