i am not sure where to find year of a gmc jimmy when the door tag is not readable an the owners manual is gone

Position #10 of the VIN is the year A1980 B1981 C1982 D1983 E1984 F1985 G1986 H1987 J1988 K1989 L 1990 M1991 N1992 P1993 R1994 S1995 T1996 V1997 W1998 X1999 Y2000 1-2001 2-2002 etc.

elderly ladies hubby passed away few years back an she doesnt know where title is so i got to start with year only info she has new tires 65,210 miles an has not been started in years an she wants to reclaim garage

the 10th digit of vin is year no matter who makes the car.
