Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2006 Tribeca engine is done.  I have a 2009 Impreza and would like to know if
the 2009 Impreza engine will fit into my 2006 Tribeca.
please say yes!!

The Tribeca's used the Subaru 6 cylinder engine so only cars like the Outback would have an engine that could fit. There is still no guarantee that other year engines will be a direct replacement.

It might fit in the back, but that won't help you much.

Hi there, So we found a guy who works on subarus. He had an engine for us so he towed the car to his shop, 200km away. Our car is running awesome and I love driving the tribeca. Although we have put about 8,000 into a 2006 vehicle, which is ridiculous, I think its worth it. Good luck!

Any luck with a 2006 tribeca engine I'm now in the same boat. Cylinder 3 needs rebuilt according to two different mechanics. I was going to just try and do a remanufactured, but can not find. Know of any other engines that would fit?
