I have a 2004 chevy 1500 and I wanted to change the stock hood to an hd hood but dont know witch one fits

I'm an old fart, what is a "hd" hood? If this is an after market hood, it should state on it what vehicles it will fit. Some do not come with mount bolt holes in them and you have to do it yourself so be careful what you buy. Make sure it is a structurally sound hood. That would be one with cross bracing if there is a rise in the hood. Look it over to make sure. The good hoods should come with pre-drilled holes for all your brackets and hardware.

the "hd" hood is the stock hood that came on the 2500hd and 3500 series trucks. it should bolt right up using one from an "hd" with the same front end.
