Why does my blazer do this

Why does my 93 k 1500 blazer shut off when I put my foot on the gas I have
to put the pedal all the way to the floor to crank then if I put my foot on the
gas it shuts off but if I let it stay cranked And idle for a little bit it's fine does
this every time I have to crank it I gotta wait for it to idle for alittle but before
driving
