Ignition timing

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm working on my buddy's father's 86 fifth avenue 5.2L. I'm just doing a tuneup and changing filters and whatnot. What do I do to disable advance to adjust the timing?

Do I just need to pull and plug a vacuum line? Or are there any wires I have to jumper?
