1994 Impala LT1

Asked by zimer May 12, 2010 at 07:01 PM about the 1994 Chevrolet Impala

Question type: Car Customization

Have a friend with 1994 Impala with 350/5.7L and 3.73 rear end for more torque.
Besides all upgrades K&N Intake etc...... how can I boost more performance out of this baby?
Dyno and re-flash PCM is done, how about Hypertech Chip??

Any advise, much appreciated.

hey, have you tried looking into a bigger performance cam. those lt1's wake up a lot with cams. you can also do headers for the exhaust and a larger diameter throttle body. those are all flow adders. you can also get a hotter coil that will deliver more spark to the opti-spark system. also try a 160 degree thermostat. it keeps the engine cooler and fools the coolant temp sensor into thinking its cold and will richen the fuel. just some thoughts.

Daniel’s suggestions are spot on, but if you’re going for serious horsepower it’s gonna involve forced induction from turbos or a supercharger=expensive and technical.
