why would a stock radio turn on then turn itself rite back off.

...well if it is sophisticated as all that, will not see proper load/speakers out there and will shut itself down...to save itself from self-destruction, because there isn't a proper 4 ohm load or two present there~

so your saying i dont have enough power? or do i ned an amp or something

no man, it need to see a 4 ohm speaker load or it won't turn on (theory, am still playin' with it)~

so how do i go about doing that? ive never been taught about car audio. im trying to learn though.

if you are going to bench test this raymond. be sure that the unit is grounded. Be sure speakers are connected...the off/on button should be working fine at this point~
