I feel this ets system is the culprit but am unsure how to diagnose it....it felt as if the trans was slipping...so removed and replaced with used trns....and still the same intermittent slip issue....it will drive fine and then start the slipping...no pattern to it at all....fluid level is correct...new filter etc...please help 1997

a bad wheel sensor will trip the abs and check engine and ets all on , check for codes, The ets needs the abs to function , if this is an electronic shifted trans , with shift solenoids it may be going in limp mode , witch is a higher gear and appear to be slipping from torque converter spin.

I have a 1994 chevrolet cavalier z24. I have had 3 transmissions put into my car since January, 2015. I am still having the same problem 3 months later. The transmission is slipping when I put the car from park into drive. It goes into neutral. Can this be caused by the inside gear shifter if the shifter is not connected properly to the transmission? im pulling the enigne of a 99 cavalier but there doesnt seem to be enough room to lift it out. is it possable to remove with out the tranny? if so how? 4 Answers
