Noise in right rear wheel, roaring rattling sound.is there a bearing in 98 lumina or just strut?

There is a wheel bearing and from what you say it is probably bad.

I concur. A bad wheel bearing will make a humming noise. If I thought I had a bad wheel bearing I would turn the vehicle hard in both directions. If the humming reduced in noise or went away turning right (lifting the weight/load off one side) it is a bad wheel bearing on the right. Repeat to test left side. Just something I used to do.. and still I suppose.
