i lost key

idrilled out the ignition on the 1998 chevy cavalier and now i try to start it with csrew driver and it starts for 2 or 3 seconds then dies out

Your security feature is working, it thinks you are trying to steal the car. Time to install a new ignition lock cylinder and key, which will require re-coding.
