When your car pulls to the left when breaking it could mean you have a bad Brake Caliper that is sticking and making your brakes or rotors wear out unevenly causing more breaking power on one side than the other. The knocking noises sounds like your suspension, like a ball joint or lower control arm. I suggest you take your car to the mechanic and have them check your brakes as soon as possible.
