where is the heater core located?

We are trying to replace the heater core in our blazer and have taken the whole dash apart and still haven't seen the core where is it located?

it's inside the heater box ,you don't need to take apart the whole dash.

trip65, I know this post is old, but hope your still active on site. Have a 97 Blazer (Chevy). Where is the heater box? What do you need to take apart to reach it? Think mine may be clogged or need replaced. To test/check if its clogged before replacing, will/can having my cooling system flushed accomplish unclogging the heater core?
