car wont move when cold, not until it warms up

i put it in drive when cold and it wouldnt go until it warmed up a little.

Hello, Ah, I know the feeling (of not moving when it's cold...=)) Have you tried dry gas? When I lived in a cold-climate place, I would add dry gas to my tank just before a cold spell. It helps to keep the gasoline flowing more freely, and will prevent it from freezing. The freezing gasoline may be part of the problem with your Cavalier. Best of luck! CarGrrl
