i have a leak under the car could it be the water pump"?

Hi boo! Sure it could be the water pump. There are a number of possible sources and that's just if we are talking about coolant. If it's some other fluid the options expand ... Get underneath the car and check the components. You'll probably see fluid residue at the source of the leak. If it is coolant and the leak is significant and/or progressing you are going to want to have things fixed quickly ... Even one severe overheating episode could cause expensive problems with your head. Good luck!
