My van doesn't start when it's on parking. When i do start it the emergency break light comes out without the emergency break being touched. And then the ABS light comes out as well. Whats causing this and how can i fix it?

The red brake light isn't just part of the emergency brake system. Get the codes read at a shop. Local parts stores won't have the scanner to read the abs/brake codes.

I got it read and it came out to be the transmission component slipping. Just today it wouldn't start on parking.. I had to put the key in and put it on N so it can start.

Sounds like your PRNDL switch it's bad. It's commonly pronounced prindle. It stands for Park Reverse Neutral Drive Low. Have you checked your trans fluid?

Yes i checked it and it's good. At auto zone they said it might be the trans fluid but i already check it. I don't have the money to take it to a mechanic.. And I've had real bad experience with many of them. But I'm going to get that switch check first thing tomorrow morning. Thanks a lot for your help.
