Sounds like an airflow restriction, check air filter, pcv, and at last resort, make sure your catylist converter is not plugged up. Good luck

I HAVE A 1988 CUTLASS SUPREME FWD INTERNATIONAL, IT WILL RUN FOR ABOUT 1-3 MINUTES AND THEN CUT OFF. IT WILL NOT START AGAIN FOR A WHILE OR UNTIL THE NEXT DAY, WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THIS? 1 Answer

IT HAS A 2.8 V6 MULTI PORT FUEL INJECTED MOTOR IN IT. IF I REV IT UP PAST 3 GRAND IT STARTS TO SPUTTER, ONE I BACK OFF THEN IT STARTS TO IDLE AGAIN.
