Engine swap and match

I have an 87 Cutlass Supreme
with a 307 if I take out the 307
can I replace it with a Chevy V6

Why????The amount of work and cost.Starting with wiring and computer,the exhaust,the motor mounts and then the transmission.That olds 307 is a great engine with a lot of torque,before you swap these engines,why don’t you fix the 307,you will much happier and you won’t gain any fuel mileage with the v6
