does your timing belt rattle or does your car sound like it is idling when it is sitting at a stop light?

then i would honestly take it into a trusted mechanic and ask what is wrong even if they charge you a little because it sounds like a problem with the finer tunings. i have taken a car in and they will be able to tell you the best solution
