Also during all this I've looked into getting
rid of the ECM. What's the best safest and
correct way to do so.

I also replaced the intake with a 4 bbl offenhauser, and s 650 cfm Eddlebrock with elec choke, PVC valve, all new vac hoses, pulled the ECM and harness, along with sensors and put plugs where sensors use to be. And put a jumper to make the CCC dist work until I can afford a HEI with vac advance. I got it to where it wants to start but as soon as it does it just bogs down. Also the charge light is still on. I'm thinking alternator. Mine as well the only 2 components left to change are the alternator and dizzy. Guess I'll find out when I have the funds.
