My 1980 oldsmobile cutless Brougham

The engine looks like a V6 which is the 3.8L engine. So to get it to turn over, a good battery of course, good battery connections and battery cables, and a good working starter. If it has ben sitting for awhile and you just get a click out of the starter, try tapping the housing. But still, there would be a problem with the starter. If these things are all good there are other things to make the starter not work, like power getting to the small wire on the starter solenoid when the key is turned to the start condition. Other components would need to be checked.
