Hi I have a 2001 tracker 4wd 2.5 liters When I go to start it the vehicle starts when I turn the key to the second click or position instead of the start position what could cause this?

I would think something in the ignition switch or having to do with the lock cylinder is in need of repair.

Replaced the lock cylinder and the car still starts on second click do you believe I should change the ignition switch?

The ignition switch is the part that contains the electrical contacts that connect to make it start and run. The problem is either the lock cylinder, linkage (connects the cylinder to the switch) or the switch. If it were mine I would replace the switch.
