2001 chevy suburban making clicking noise...sounds like turn signal indicator that won't stop

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2001 Suburban, my girlfriend's, makes a constant clicking sound which
sounds like a turn signal indicator but will not stop.  She says it's been on for
almost 2 years .  Driving me crazy!  She said some mechanic offered to fix
for $350 but wouldn't tell her what was making the noise.

It's probably the blend door actuator. They are known to make a clicking sound when they fail. The blend door actuator is electronic and it controls the outside air intake for your climate control. Here is a link for more info: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2LJWte7Mf4

If it sounds exactly like the turn signals and goes in the same rythem it's a short in the multi function switch (blinker switch)
