Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We ran out of gas and are having problems
restarting it...how would we know if it's the gas
pump or how do I restart the truck properly???

turn the "Key on/engine off" then off , do this a few times ,you should hear the fuel pump prime the system when you turn the key "whirrrrr" you may have killed the pump but you'll have to test for fuel pressure at the shrader valve thats on the fuel rail . Don't start any fires .Let us know what happens .
